Dead Horse Point State Park

Dead Horse Point State Park is so close to Canyonlands National Park that it feels like an extension of Canyonlands. In fact, it even appears on the maps in the official Canyonlands brochure we received. Unfortunately, there is an additional fee to get into the park though. The views from Dead Horse Point are pretty awesome though, so I’d say it is still worth a visit even after Canyonlands! Also, we had the added bonus of being able to see huge sections of Potash Road and Shafer Trail where we drove earlier in the day. It was the perfect way to cap off our loop!
