After spending the previous day in Arches National Park, it was going to take a pretty amazing arch to truly wow us. Well, wow! Mesa Arch just may have been our favorite arch we saw on the trip. It is pretty hard to compare many of the arches, but the steep cliffs into the canyons and backdrop of the La Sal Mountains make Mesa Arch quite the spectacle. Mesa Arch is one of the most popular places to view the sunrise in Canyonlands as well. While we missed the sunrise by a little bit, we were there nice and early to see the sun ascending. Also, Mesa Arch is only a half mile walk roundtrip from the parking lot, so it is truly a must-see in Canyonlands.
