March Madness is here! Survive and advance is what it’s all about this time of year. Play one “game” at a time and work your way through the bracket. Start with #1 seed 800m @ 10k pace and then do 100m worth of walking lunges (100m is pretty far, so downgrade to 50m if you’re a little rusty on lunges). Next, start with the #2 seed 600m @ 5k v. 400m @ 5k+ match-up. You can choose which match-up you go with next! Ready for more, check out the Final 4 and Championship rounds below.

This workout only scratches the surface with lunges and planks, but both should be added to your weekly routine for optimal results. Planks, side-planks, walking lunges (with weight or not), and a variety of squats should be incorporated. Let me know if you have any questions or are looking for ideas on this.

If you have time, finish strong with an even effort 10k for two laps. Then, celebrate with a 100m sprint.
